  3. An update on future artistic expression…

As some of you may know, I left my former band and have been working hard on getting a new one off of the ground. I have gotten a few questions regarding the sound of this band so I am going to answer them below.

    1. Will it sound like your old band?
A: Somewhat, I did a lot of writing on my former band’s first EP so my style will definitely be felt but this is in no way the same kind of thing. I don’t want to give anything away just yet, but it’s pretty different.

    2. Who is in your new band?
A: I have been asked this a lot, and for now I am keeping the other members under wraps. Some of them you may know from other bands, some of them you probably won’t. I just think for now, until we launch, it’s better to keep things secret!

    3. Is it electronic?
    No.

    4. When can we hear something?
    A. Spring! Get excited!

Just wanted to get those out of the way because I have received a lot of questions in person at shows, on Twitter, and on Facebook recently.

  4. To Aim For The Weekend Fans…

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you I have decided to leave Aim For The Weekend. This wasn’t a decision I made lightly but it was one I felt I had no other choice but to make. Hell, John and I started the band. I had been feeling over the last few months that my heart just wasn’t in it anymore and it would have been unfair to the other guys and to the fans to continue on doing something I wasn’t feeling. I want to make sure everyone knows that I am still good friends with my former band mates and there is absolutely no bad blood, I left on good terms. There was no in-fighting, nobody stole anybody’s girlfriend, and no fist fights. I wasn’t kicked out or asked to leave. I want to stress this because I know how rumors can get started on the internet.

I am absolutely proud of everything we were able to accomplish in the short year and a half that I played with AFTW, we did more in that time than most bands can do in five years. I will always look back on this time as one of the best of my life. Those guys will always be like brothers to me and the fans I got to meet and interact with along the way will always hold a special place in my heart. It makes me sad that my time with AFTW had to come to an end, but I consider myself an artist and musician first and foremost and it’s just time that I move on to something new creatively. You’re only young enough to do this music thing for a short time and I don’t want to waste what little time I have left unless I’m making myself truly happy.

I hope everyone understands my decision and continues to support Aim For The Weekend in anything and everything they do from here on out, because I know I will. I’ve also been writing a ton of music lately and I will have a new project up and running sooner than you might think. I hope you will continue to support me in my other musical endeavors.

One last thing, to all of the fans, I love you.
